Raktmokshan

Raktmokshan is an effective blood purification therapy .
Blood maintains and supports the body like roots supporting the tree. So the blood is considered as life ( Jeeva ).
When blood gets vitiated by doshas it causes various disease. Raktmokshan is that procedure which expels out vitiated blood from the body.

Raktmokshan means to let the blood out, it is generally of two types :

  • Siravedh : In this process blood is removed form veins.
  • Jalauka avacharan (leech therapy) : In this process impute blood is removed by using medicinal leech.
